The Challenge
When the client first came to us, the home was practically a blank canvas, completely empty with no clear starting point. This created a sense of overwhelm, as they didn’t know how to begin transforming the space into a functional and beautiful living environment. One of the key concerns was the lack of spatial separation, making it challenging to clearly define zones like the living area, dining space, and kitchen.
Another issue was the need for privacy in the kitchen, especially for cooking activities that can sometimes get messy or require seclusion from guests. The client also had a deep appreciation for marble finishes, hoping to incorporate this timeless element without going overboard. Lastly, storage was a big concern, particularly for clothing, as the client had an extensive wardrobe and needed a practical solution to keep everything well-organised and hidden from sight.
Our Solution
To bring clarity and function to the space, we began by proposing a smart and practical layout plan that clearly defined each zone in the house. The living, dining, and kitchen areas were intentionally separated to create structure and flow, making the home feel more grounded and purposeful.
To address the need for kitchen privacy, we installed a custom partition at the entrance of the kitchen, offering just the right balance of openness and seclusion. This allowed the client to cook comfortably without compromising the visual harmony of the overall design.
In terms of aesthetics, we embraced the client’s love for marble by applying marble textures on the TV panel and kitchen surfaces, giving the space a luxurious yet modern touch. For the storage issue, we designed a large built-in wardrobe system in the bedroom, spacious enough to accommodate the client’s extensive clothing collection, while keeping the room looking sleek and tidy.
The result is a well-planned, stylish home that balances beauty with functionality, turning an empty space into a personalised sanctuary.
